As part of Alberta Health Services, the Calgary Zone is committed to excellence in providing an accessible, accountable and integrated community based health system which promotes shared responsibility for improved health.
The Calgary Zone serves over 1 million people in the Calgary area, the people of Southern Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. There are four acute care hospitals, Foothills Medical Centre (FMC), Alberta Children's Hospital (ACH), Peter Lougheed Centre (PLC), and Rockyview General Hospital (RGH), in the City of Calgary. The zone provides a comprehensive and fully integrated range of community services including vaccinations and health screening in community health centres, school health services, home care, care centre services, mental health, and environmental health.
